Visiting the Taj Mahal:
Agra is located 138 miles from Delhi (3.5 hours by road). Agra is the city of the Taj Mahal, one of the famous wonders of the world. Apart from this, Agra, a city on the banks of the river Yamuna, is rich in history, heritage, and ancient monuments. If you plan to visit this city, don’t miss out on the Agra Fort. Depending on how much time you’ll spend in India, you could see the Taj before or after the wedding.
It’s best to visit tourist attractions in the early morning (e.g. Taj Mahal especially!) - it’s typically both cooler and less crowded.
Watch your belongings carefully, use fully closed/zipped handbags to avoid pickpocketing.
Travel Advice
Some useful electronics for travel:
Apple Air Tags - highly recommend putting these in your suitcase to track your bags.
Adapters / converters - India has these sockets
Portable charger/power bank for longer sightseeing days
Leave plenty of time to get to and through airports (even quick domestic flights).
While many Indian airports are modern and well-run, it is best to leave plenty of time to get through check-in, security etc, as lines can be long and there’s no TSA pre-check there!
Buy extra baggage allowance ahead of time.
Most domestic airlines have a very limited checked baggage weight allowance of 15kg / 33lbs – to avoid delays at the airport, we recommend purchasing additional baggage allowance online ahead of the flight.
Indian security is very strict, but very friendly!
It goes without saying but be sensible about what you’re traveling with. Unlike the US, they will confiscate any e-cigarettes in carry-ons during the security check – better to pack them in your checked luggage.

Avoid street food to ensure you don’t get “Delhi Belly.”

Do not drink from the tap, use bottled water, and ensure that restaurants only serve freshly opened bottled water.
